Cerimonial facade. Torch Room. These are the most uncharacterized rooms in the Palace. The names recall the original functions of these spaces; Torch Room, Archeiros Room and Private Room. The Principe Regente apartments were located on the top floor. The Private Room (where the camaristas of D. João's time expected) was in the time of D. Luís and D. Carlos used as a Meeting Room or Library. Its walls were covered with wallpaper representing battles between Turks and Greeks.
This set of 3 rooms is currently furnished with the three most representative Portuguese styles of Queluz. D.Jose, D.Maria and Empire.
