The Karl-Theodor Bridge, better known as the Old Bridge, is one of the most famous sights in Heidelberg. This is the ninth bridge at this point and was completed in the 1788. The first bridges were built in Roman times. In the first Century AD, the Romans built a wooden bridge over the Neckar.
