We took the Gornergrat rack railway from Zermatt up to the Gornergrat (3'089 meters) and hiked down to the Riffelalp (2'222 meters).

Here we are at the Riffelalp at 2'222 meters. It is a wonderful view to the Matterhorn from here.

From here we walked to the nearby Riffelalp station of the Gornergrat rock railway and took the next train down to Zermatt.

Sorry that I did not wait till the Riffelalp tram returned from the railway station. It would be nice to have the old tram on the panorama.
