The canoe can pass through the smaller canals which are not accessible to the larger motorboats thereby taking you into the heart of the backwaters. Here you will find many village women busy washing cloths, fishing and the children swimming and playing. There are small shops where you can stop for some of the best home ground coffee, tasty fish, fried bananas, coconut milk, coconut beer, fresh fruit and a wonderfully slow life jungle atmosphere.
