From a nice hike from Alpnachstad up to the Pilatus. The Pilatus cog railway transports a lot of tourists up to the Pilatus. It is the steepest rack railway in the world, with a maximum gradient of 48%.

I am here about 3 minutes walk below the station Aemsigen. From here you have a beautiful view over the different arms of the Lake Luzern.
