Herzogenhorn is with 1415 metres the second highest mountain in the Black Forest. The highest mountain Feldberg with 1493 metres lies roughly 3 kilometres north. On a clear day, Herzogenhorn provides uninterrupted views across the Rhine Valley deep into the Swiss Alps to the South and the French Vosges to the South-West.
