This clear day on the Kaltenbronn high plateau allowed nice long distance viewing. One can see the western rim of the Swabian Alb (to the east), the Northern Vosges (to the southwest).

Not in this picture due to the low position of the sun - the South German and Central Swiss Alps were clearly visible to the south as well.
