Zauberwald translates to Magic Forest and this walking track in the nature reserve Taubenmos in Bernau-Oberlehen leads through a magic place in the black forest. Part of the 2.5 kilometre long track leads along and across the little creek Rönischbächle. The track offers views over moor areas which were created by glaciers during the last ice age and which are a retreat for many endangered plants and animals. The track leads through dark and more light stretches of pine forest and past the weather station which often records the coldest temperatures in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
