      日照市万平口景区位于新市区内，海曲东路最东端，景区海岸线长5000米，占地面积760万平方米。万平口风景区内的泻湖，是天然的避风港，历代都是商船停泊之地，有“万艘船只平安抵达口岸”之意，因而取名万平口，寓意万事平安。万平口景区是日照市黄金海岸线上新兴起的旅游胜地。
