The Mpila Rest Camp is one of the areas within the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park where visitors are able to stop to buy refreshments, have a bathroom break and stretch their legs. Visitors are not allowed to alight from their vehicles in most of the rest of the nature reserve, as wild animals can be dangerous.

Guided game drives also start from this location. Visitors are taken on a game drive and told all about the animals and history of the park by experience, qualified nature guides.
