Weir and lock in the Overijsselse Vecht near Dalfsen, old and historic. The source of the Vecht is located in the town of Darfeld (municipality of Rosendahl, North Rhine-Westphalia) and ends (after 167 kilometers) in the Zwartewater, a few kilometers north of Zwolle. In the past, the river served to transport local products such as cotton, rye and sandstone. In this time, however, the Vecht is only navigated by pleasure craft.
