Palolem is a popular spot in South Goa, that has an "island paradise" feel to it. The water is a warmer and little more gentle than the beaches in the north. The sand is packed a firmer and contains some finely crushed pieces of shells. There are many restaurants along the beach, but because the town itself is smaller, it feels less commercialized.
