Kenneth More Theatre - ilford - england
England

To one side of Redbridge Town Hall in Ilford is a small theatre named for the actor Kenneth More. He was popular, even famous in the years following the Second World War, for his patriotic films like "Sink the Bismark" and "Reach for the Sky", about England's favourite fighter pilot, Douglas Bader.

For more about the theatre this link is to its site

and here are a couple more links to scenes from some of Kenneth Moore's films. The Germans, now our friends and partners in Europe, fifty years ago were still perceived as the bad guys, the defeated enemy who deserved all they got. Time heals, thank heavens, but it is interesting to understand how we felt back then.
