The works portrayed in this room, done in oil on canvas, by Marques de Oliveira in 1890, have as their theme the traditional works of Roman civilization.

Of note, in addition to the magnificent pavement carved with exotic woods of Brazilian and African origin, the marble fireplace by sculptor Teixeira Lopes, where, on its side columns, female statuettes stand out and, inside, in wrought iron, allegories the Douro River and commerce.
