One of the gems in the UNESCO-recognised baroque towns in the Val di Noto is south-eastern Sicily, Ragusa Ibla (the older part of the town) is elegant and beautifully preserved. A major destination on the tourist trail, the Piazza Duomo is dominated by the facade of the beautiful cathedral of Saint George (Duomo di San Giorgio).
