The ruins of Ahamore Abbey, County Kerry
Ireland

The ruins of the 6th century Ahamore Abbey, also known as Derrynane Abbey, are located on the small tidal Abbey Island in Derrynane Bay. The island is only accessible at low tide.

The graveyard houses the final resting place of Mary O'Connell, the wife of the prominent 19th century Irish and Westminster MP, Daniel O'Connell, who lived nearby.
