Shenzhen River is a boundary line divided HK and China. 30 years ago, both sides of the border are low rural houses and fields, but China's rapid economic growth since the 1990s, Shenzhen's highrise construction boom progressed, the skyscrapers erected in the city became taller. But the Hong Kong border, government planning for the nature reserve, construction is prohibited. Therefore separated by a river formimg two different landscape. 深圳河劃分中港邊界，30多年前，邊界兩岸大片土地都是低矮的農舍及田地，但自九十年代初中國大陸經濟起飛，深圳快速建設，高樓大廈抜地而起，而香港方面，港府把邊境土地規劃為自然保護區，嚴禁建設，所以，到今天一河之隔，形成兩個截然不同的景觀。
