This exterior view of this early c12 Norman church has been described as a Dorset gem, and is a Grade I listed building. The wooden furnishings were added in the 18th century, and the proceeds from the sale of some of Thomas Hardy's manuscripts were used to renovate it in 1931, it is almost completely unchanged from when it was built nearly 1000 years ago.
