Shwethalyaung Buddha, Myanmar
Myanmar - Burma

Virtual Tour for Shwethalyaung Buddha in which is located in the Shwethar lyaung Pagoda in Bago, Myanmar. It is 55 metres long and 16 meters high and is the second largest buddha in the world. The steel pavilion was built in 1906 to preserve the buddha from the effects of the weather. It was said to be built in 994 during the rule of Mon King Migadepa but fell into ruin and was forgotten and lost to the jungle. The Buddha was found by an Indian contractor while constructing a railway during the time of British occupation.

Foreigners must pay 10000 kyat to enter and there is also a small camera fee if you wish to take photos. Because of it’s massive size, a virtual tour or 360 degree photography is a perfect way to capture the buddha and the atmosphere in the pavilion.
