This panorama opens viewing the ruins of what is called Mummy Cave in Canyon De Chelly National Monument near Chinle, Arizona. Canyon De Chelly is mostly viewed by two highways, one on the north, the other on the south side of the canyon. There are several overlooks that can be accessed by short side roads and short hikes to the overlooks. To view the canyon from below, there are tours available to be reserved, for a fee, which are operated by Navajo (Dine') vendors. The Jeep tour was well worth it.
