Mongkol Serey Temple also known as the Golden Temple and Mongkol Serei Kien Khleang Pagoda, is located on the river about 15 km north of central Phnom Penh, on the island between the Mekong and Tonle Sap often called the Golden Temple for its lavish use of gold paint, the complex also has a riverside shrine enclosing a tree and even a small Chinese temple.
