Lake Helen is right off Highway 89 in Lassen Volcanic National Park, California.  It is a glacial tarn w/ evidence of glacial scouring found on the rocks nearby along the Bumpass Hell trail.  Perfect evening conditions facing Lassen Peak, a lake I remember visiting during our first time to the park when I was about eleven years old.
