Sunrise view from the summit ridge of Caesar Peak in the Trinity Alps Wilderness near Weaverville, California.  The peak is the third highest of the Trinity Alps.  This area is all comprised of granite, a splitoff of the Sierra Batholith further south as earthquakes & faults transported these mountains to the northwest.  There is a small glacier visible directly below Thompson Peak which drains to Grizzly Lake below.  The former Salmon Glacier sits tucked below Caesar Peak, having disappeared around 2015.
