Weather station on Karabi Yayla
Simferopol

Weather station located on the lower plateau Karabi, at an altitude of 990meters above sea level. m and is visible from all points of the elevatedplateau. It is a major landmark and an outpost of civilization in this sparselydistrict of Crimea. It was built in the early XX century., since 1916 there weresystematic weather observations. During World War II building weather stations built from diorite and stylized medieval castle was blown up. In the late80's. new building was constructed on the foundation of the former. Now it houses meteopost Center for Hydrometeorology and Baywatch KCC Crimea.Powered turpriyut taking tourists all year round.
