The fishing boats of Essaouira, Morocco
Morocco

Built under Ahmed el Inglizi’s direction, the port of Essaouira became a key maritime hub, connecting trade routes from sub-Saharan Africa to global markets. Sultan Mohammed III’s contributions helped establish the port as Morocco’s primary trade route by the 19th century. Today, the port is still an active center where fishermen bring in their daily catch, making it a vibrant location to explore.
