St Michaels Lutheran Church in Tarrington
Victoria

Panorama of Saint Michael Lutheran Church in Tarrington, Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1853 by Lutheran migrants as Hochkirch, the small town changed its name to Tarrington in 1916 due to WW1. The red brick church built in 1927 in a late Gothic revival style is the fourth, the first pug and timber framed church was built about 1854, the second was a bluestone church built in 1858, the third was also bluestone built in 1863 and burnt down in 1944.
