Lake Pleasant is a major recreational area and also an important reservoir for the Phoenix metropolitan area. Scorpion Bay is the newer of two marinas on the southern end of the lake. During a single year this man made lake's water level can vary approximately 20 ft. Because of this the entire marina including pear and restaurant float on the water's surface.
