昔日社寮港口的繁華，今日已成人們追憶，社寮港口兩側的健康步道，可供村民休閒健身，岸邊棧間遺址，提醒世人昔日的繁華。

早期的先民體驗出利用潮差來捕魚的觀念，於是利用周邊的珊瑚礁，趁著每天退潮時堆砌石滬，早年三芝海邊有六、七座石滬，長度從二百到一千多公尺不等，每一個石滬都有它名字，錫板村有頂滬、下滬；古庄村有石馬滬、深滬；新庄村有社寮滬、雙連滬。大部分因年久失修損毀殆盡，滬旁有石灰窯為先人製作建材之遺跡。
