Philae Temple on the river Nile near Aswan
Aswan - Nile River

This temple was dedicated to the goddess Isis and was constructed at the southern most frontier of Egypt.


The whole temple was dismantled and moved to the higher ground of Agilka island after the construction of the Aswan high dam.
