A sunset view from an amazing spot in the mountains above Santa Barbara California. This is Knapp's Castle, built around 1916 by Union Carbide founder, George Owen Knapp. The fires in the Santa Barbara hills make it a treacherous place to try to live, and those fires are what were the end of this beautiful stone home in the mountains. But the reason for building there, this amazing view, is still worth the trip.
