After the airport Boeblingen was build in the 1920s, it became quite significant in the 2nd world war and was further used by the US Air Forces until the 1990s. Around 2009 the location was transformed to restaurants, shops and a hotel. The old hangars are now part of the Motorworld Boeblingen which is specialized in Oldtimer Cars and certain luxury cars.
