Dresden Blaues Wunder 3
Dresda
In the time of origin, the bridge was one of the first of this range of metal, which required no piers in the river - including why it was called a miracle. The name "Blue Wonder" is also due to the light blue color of the bridge. To this day, keeps the rumor that the bridge was originally green been (from the mixed colors of cobalt blue and chrome yellow) painted, and only by weather conditions (other sources speak only of the sun) to have the yellow portions evaporates and only the blue is left. However, there are a number of journalistic and tangible evidence of the original color blue. Thus, there are articles in newspapers from the period of construction and a Gedenkmünzprägung at the inauguration of the bridge, in what is called the bridge even as a "Blue Wonder".
