River Aare and Black Tower from the Aare Stone Bridge in Brugg, canton Aargau, Switzerland.

The black tower was built in the last quarter of the 12th century. Stones from nearby ruins of a Roman legionary camp Vindonissa were also used for the construction which led to the previously incorrect naming of Roman tower.

The stone clad concrete bridge from 1925 replaced an earlier stone bridge.
