The Chorros del Varal are a set of waterfalls from an underground river, approximately 70 meters high, through which the Apupátaro River has its channel.

Settlers say it is inhabited by the spirit of an indigenous princess. There have been men who over the years, to prove their courage to their friends and venture into something new, have camped out one night during the Holy Week period.
