A view of Grizzly Lake Falls at the outlet of Grizzly Lake in the Trinity Alps Wilderness north of Weaverville, California.  The falls makes an immediate free-fall drop of 100 feet before cascading another 150 feet for a 250 foot total drop.  The lake is just out of view in this photo but is fed from the snowmelt coming from the vast cirque between Thompson & Caesar Peaks, which both have a lovely pink alpenglow hue.  Here onlookers camp by the lake & spend much of the day swimming & fishing before taking in the last view of sunlight to the northwest.
