The North Face trail to Ben Nevis
Scotland

With a summit 1,345m above sea level, Ben Nevis is the largest mountain in the British Isles. It is located in the Grampian Mountain range, in the north west Highlands, overlooking the town of Fort William.

It was once an active volcano, which erupted and collapsed inwards on itself millions of years ago. Its Gaelic name translates either as 'mountain with its head in the clouds' or 'venomous mountain.'
