The Grotto In Seven Mile Wash

This golden grotto is revealed below the 80' (24m) pour off in Seven Mile Wash. Access to the grotto is made from up canyon only by rappelling over the pour off. However, if on a Colorado River float trip, the grotto can be accessed by a short hike up from the river. There can be a large pool just downstream from the grotto which, in our case, prevented us from continuing our hike to the river.
