The fortress, which is located 4 km to the north of Tece neighborhood of Mezitli District, Mersin, is dated to the Middle Age. Bastions of the rectangular fortress, surrounded by fortification walls, are partially destroyed and some parts of the northern and the southern walls are completely lost. Northern part of the upstairs, probably constructed as a residence, is also damaged, and the traces of the stairs evident here indicate that the fortress was actually a three-storey building. Some khamasoroion type sarcophagi surround the fortress.
