Snowdon from the south ridge
Wales

2013 started well - by that I mean it is not raining that much and you have about one really nice day in the first 3 weeks. This one was taken on the descent from Snowdon. I came up the Watkin path (through the valley with the clouds) and went down via the south ridge. On the top you can just about see the Snowdon cafe at the end of the railway line. I would have liked to stay longer up there but the days are still short and I just made it down before it got pretty dark; I guess I could have stayed half an hour longer but with the icy patches around it was the safer option this way.
