St. Lorenz Church has a nave in the form of a basilica, built in the first half of the 14th century. The choir was rebuilt about 100 years later as a magnificent hall choir (1477 finished).
Famous pieces of art are the carved Annunciation ("Englischer Gruss") by Veit Stoss, nearly 4 m high and floating in the center of the choir (1518), as well as the 18 m high tabernacle by Adam Kraft (1496) in the northern part of the choir.
