Ruins of the garrison fortress located on the north of the Mersin-Tarsus road in Akdeniz Distric, Mersin, can easily be observed while passing by in a vehicle. The fortress was built on a tumulus. It has three towers in the east. Other visible remains are the two walls in the northeastern corner. It has a quasi-square plan. The significant characteristic of the fortress is that its towers were built as per three different plans. These hollow towers were erected on the same line in equal distances. The one in the south has a square shape, while the center one has a circular shape, and the one in the northeast has a polygonal shape.
