The church located on the Cumhuriyet Avenue of Akdeniz District, Mersin, was built in the century. The Church is known by the names of ‘Tomris Nadir’ and ‘Dimitri Arabian Orthodox Church’. This structure is particularly significant as it is the oldest church in Mersin still used as a sanctuary by active members. On an Arabic epitaph located within the Church, we can read the statement “Saint Michael and Gabriel of Orthodox Greeks” and “1852”.
