Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens (or Alice Keck Park Park as I like to call it) is an oasis in the middle of the city. Santa Barbara is a beautiful city, from architecture to homes in the hills and the wonderful beaches. But sometimes you want to get out of even a beautiful city. Alice Keck Park's garden gives you that opportunity right in the middle of the city. It is a full square block of trees, a large duck pond and a wide variety of plants right in the heart of the city. When you walk through this space it's hard to believe it was almost a 9 story condo development. Thanks to those caring citizens who raised the money to keep it a beautiful natural spot!!
