Marktheidenfeld - Mast of the shipmen
Franconie

The Main river has a great significance in Marktheidenfeld: Shipping has made a considerable contribution to the prosperity of the former market town. And even today, the Main with its direct connection to the old town is an important lifeline. Approximately in the middle of Mainkai, the boat mast built in 1955 and renewed in 2017 points to the importance of this profession. Marktheidenfeld is the "home port" for many ships on the Main and the Rhine.
