At the terminus of the Lost Mine Trail ends at steep cliffs on one side, and a deep ravine on the other side. In the distance to the northeast lies Lost Mine Peak. In this view only the very top of the peak is visible in the opening orientation. In the opposite direction lie the higher peaks of the Chisos Mountains including Casa Grande Peak, Emory Peak, and South Rim.
