The metropolitan Cultural center, located on one of the main corners of the Independence Square (Plaza de la Independencia) is today the house of several expositions and a library. It has been witness and home of the most important events on Quito's and Ecuador's history, as it has been reflected on the permanent exposition 'From Quito to Ecuador'.
