Overlooking Grizzly Lake in the Trinity Alps Wilderness north of Weaverville, California.  The lake is nestled in a deep glacial cirque below Thompson & Caesar Peaks & is fed by late snowpack & the tiny Grizzly Glacier.  The lake's outlet features Grizzly Lake Falls which immediately drops over a granite cliff some 250 feet down into talus below.  During mid-day the lake is an appealing green & is a popular place for taking a swim.  Ice Age glacial striations are visible within areas of the granite, though much of it has since exfoliated.
