Wimmera River in Horsham
Victoria

Panorama of the Wimmera River in Horsham, Victoria, Australia. Horsham is an important service town in the Wimmera Region of Victoria. The Wimmera River originates in Mount Buangor State Park near Ararat and flows through grazing and cropping farmland before it drains into a series of terminal lakes north of Horsham. Although the river has a catchment of about 2.4 million hectares and many tributaries, its flow is intermittent and the terminal lakes Lake Hindmarsh and Lake Albacutya can run dry for many years.
