The East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel (EMITT) Exhibition, organized for the 14th time by EKIN- ITE Group with the TUROFED and TYD partnership and with the supports of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Turkish Airlines and Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul, gathered the representatives of tourism sector, who would like to overcome the recession due to the global economic crisis, once again in Istanbul. EMITT Exhibition, which grew 10% just to spite the economic crisis happened in the world, gathered the representatives of 60 countries and representatives of over 100 provinces and towns from all over Turkey under the same umbrella organization.

Istanbul (historically Byzantium and later Constantinople; see the other names of Istanbul) is the largest city of Turkey and the third largest city in the world.
