广东佛山祖庙 许愿树

 

祖庙位于广东省佛山市城区祖庙路的闹市中,据传始建于北宋元丰年间(1078-1085年),原建筑于元代末年被焚毁,明初洪武五年(1372年)重建,以后经过二十多次重修、扩建,终于形成一座规模宏大、制作精美、具有独特民族风格和浓厚地方特色的古建筑群。供奉道教崇信的北方玄天大帝,名“北帝庙”。明代改称灵应祠;因为宋元以后这里一直是佛山各宗祠公众议事的地方,成为联结各姓的纽带,所以佛山人习称它为祖庙。1962年划定为广东省重点文物保护单位,由佛山市博物馆管理。
